The prices seem to have crept up in recent times to a level where you would expect a better quality meal. The food is marginal at best. It used to be much better, but there have been several changes over the years and none of them apparently for the better. The duck was overcooked and rubbery. The pork chop was dry and tasteless. It took almost an hour for the appetizers to appear. The staff turnover is high and they are not helpful.

Good decor, friendly service, very good food if somewhat limited (~5 salads, ~5 sandwiches, ~5 pizzas, ~5 entrees), but they do have good specials and we can always find a tasty meal. Welcoming and warm fireplace on the bar side. Usually crowded for dinner, but try lunch for a good alternative.

I have heard great things about this restaurant - not sure why. I found the food very heavy handed.
