Unique and romantic dining experience - lovely dining rooms in an old castle/hotel in Tarrytown, on a hill with views of the Hudson. Food is good to very good, though the decor and location are the real selling point. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a place where everything seems right...but isn't. The problem is the staff. From the indifferent/annoyed hostess's to the captain who is looking and paying attention to any other table and makes you repeat your order or question because he's distracted; to the staff who run around and are probably efficient, but have no clue what gracious, refined service is or means. The staff acts as would rather be doing anything else than serving you!

The dining room is glamorous, romantic and well-appointed. The menu choices highlighted the chef's saucing talents, and salvaged the overall dining experience.

No better place to go on someone else's dime or just to impress visiting out-of-towners with one of the most spectacular settings in Westchester.
